Most of us are aware of foster care and the need for foster parents, but how often do we consider what happens to foster kids when they age out? When they no longer have a place to call home? And what about other young adults who find themselves homeless due to lack of family support?
In this episode, you’ll meet Adrean Stinnett, the Founder of J127 Ministry in Durant, Oklahoma. We’ll learn how this one woman mobilized a community–where nobody knew her–to support young women ages 18-23 who have aged out of the foster care system by providing them with a place they can call home, with long-term mentors to teach life skills, and with job opportunities at local businesses so they gain work experience and eventually thrive out on their own.
Learn how Adrean took her vision of building a transitional home for kids who have aged out of foster care from concept to reality in less than three years and kept the organization debt-free.
It’s true what they say. One person really CAN make a difference in this world.

About Adrean Stinnett
Adrean Stinnett is a woman on a mission to see dreams come to pass and lives transformed by the power of God’s Word. She was brought up on the outskirts of Durant, OK. It was there she found the passion for the church to catch God’s heart for this world and do something about it. God has called her to be a voice for this generation and to speak out on the truths of living a life of absolutes according to the Bible.
Adrean is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, and has served on mission trips to Central America, Israel, Africa and inner-city missions. While living in Dallas she started a discipleship ministry in the largest Juvenile Detention Center in the state. She served as the Director of Development for the oldest pregnancy center in Texas and hosted a Teen Talk radio show for two years in Texarkana, TX.
During her five years in Little Rock, Arkansas, Adrean worked with local youth involved in gangs while establishing a mentoring program that paired the community and churches up with these students. As Youth Director of an outreach center, she oversaw a staff of community volunteers, developed and implemented numerous programs to help those in need.
Adrean opened her home to foster kids and to those who needed a place to stay. God called her back to Durant in 2015 where she serves as the Youth Minister at Community Christian Church. She believes by joining with other believers; we will see a lasting impact on our community and nation. She is ready to see the Body acquire a deeper passion for the TRUTH and LOVE of Christ.
