πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ We’re still celebrating PRIDE, and today’s guest, Anne Friedman, is the Executive Director of Gay for Good. Gay For Good energizes and mobilizes the LGBTQ community to interact with the greater community by volunteering their time to various social welfare and environmental service projects.

Anne is excited to lead this organization whose purpose is to foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBTQ community and towards partner organizations through regular collaborative volunteer service projects.

Anne started volunteering with Gay for Good while she was working full-time at a nonprofit foundation; however, after a tragic event, Anne found herself re-evaluating her priorities and what happened next surprised everyone!

Anne is a nonprofit executive with a background in communication, marketing, event management and donor relations who has worked in the nonprofit space professionally for seven years. She is a do-gooder at heart, with a passion for connecting good people to good causes.  

Anne began volunteering with Gay For Good in 2010 and quickly rose through the ranks from volunteer, to chapter leader, to board member, and in 2018 stepped off the board to become Gay For Good’s first ever employee.

In just two years in her role as Executive Director, Anne has helped the organization grow from ten to sixteen chapters, double their mailing list to over ten thousand supporters, and Gay For Good is steadily growing to become the nation’s leading LGBTQ volunteer network, igniting change and enhancing LGBTQ visibility through volunteerism. 

Anne has two grown children and currently resides in Long Beach, CA with her wife Kelli and their two cats.
